Induction Heating is used for
fast, uniform heating (Surface to Core) with minimal
Scaling. The 550 kW Solid State Induction Bar Heater is
equipped with PLC for varying Temperature in small
gradients. System is coupled with Raytek Infrared
Pyrometer for continuous Temperature monitoring of heated
bar for Forging. |

Wagner multi station, double
column crank press has a capacity of 630 Tones. It is
having closed die forging with hot shear facility along
with automatic blank transfer mechanism. After upsetting,
pre-punching and finish punching of the blank, it is
rolled out in the same heat on Rolling Mill. |

Radial Ring Rolling mill has
4 Rolling Mandrel for rolling Hot Blank in Single or
Double Pass depending on Profile of Ring. A Multitude of
profiles (Ring with Inner & Outer profile of various
kind) can be rolled precisely. Sensitive and infinitely
variable control of rolling pressure and centering arms
guarantee truly circular rings with identical diameter.
Seamless rolled ring manufacturing offers an inherent
product advantage : Desirable grain flow characteristic
and grain refinement , resulting in improved mechanical
properties and metallurgical soundness , for delivering
increased strength in final product as required. |

Calibrating Press - Pda

Rolling is followed by
Calibration operation of Hot rolled ring on Calibrating
Press with a capacity of 200 Tones. The ring is
"Calibrated" in a so called rounding phase, the result
is a precise round ring in close tolerance.

Upsetting, forming and piercing of the blank under the
press, rolling on ring rolling mill, and subsequent
sizing are done in one heat.
A quality benefit of ring rolling is grain flow adapted
to most kinds of stressing. Grain orientation is not
only parallel with the surface but is also
circumferential. This leads to decisive improvements :
Life of rolled ring is considerably increased, their
mechanical and physical properties are substantially
improved, minimum machining allowances are possible,
surfaces become smooth, irregularities being eliminated
in the pass. |
